Matthew Thurlow, installation coordinator for the American Wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, will present a lecture entitled Fighting for Independence While Decorating in the English Taste: Furniture in Revolutionary America. With an emphasis on furniture found at Rockingham, Mr. Thurlow will explain what 18th century American furniture can tell us about life in revolutionary-era America.
